The Sim-Lab Sim Floor is a 4 mm aluminum diamond plate footrest that bolts into the front of your sim racing cockpit and gives your left foot somewhere solid to brace against. It measures 490 x 350 mm and ships with the four corner brackets needed to mount it.
Bracing beats floating
On a rig running a strong direct drive wheelbase, your body wants to move under load. If your left foot is planted on carpet or hanging in the air, you end up stabilizing yourself through the wheel — which is exactly where you do not want extra input. A fixed footrest at pedal height lets you brace against the rig itself, so your steering stays clean through long braking zones and quick direction changes.
4 mm aluminum diamond plate
The plate is cut from 4 mm aluminum with a diamond tread pattern, so it holds a shoe or a sock without sliding and does not flex when you load it. It doubles as a proper floor panel for the front of the rig, which cleans up the look of an open aluminum profile cockpit and gives cabling somewhere to hide underneath.
Cockpit compatibility
The Sim Floor is designed for the Sim-Lab cockpit range: P1-X, P1X Pro, P1X Ultimate, GT1 Pro and GT1 EVO (2020 model year and newer). Mounting uses the four included corner brackets and standard profile slot hardware.
