VPS Contender Motion 3DOF: a complete turnkey racing simulator from Velocity Pro Sims
Stage 2 of the VPS motion ladder: four Vero Motion actuators under a Sim-Lab P1X Pro, with Simagic's 18 Nm EVO Pro and hydraulic pedals.
The VPS Contender Motion 3DOF is our actuators-only motion package — the same Sim-Lab P1X Pro and Vero Motion combination we run in our own shop rig. Four Vero Motion Champion GT actuators (100 mm of travel, 320 kg capacity) deliver pitch, roll and heave: braking dive, weight transfer, curbs and bumps you feel through the seat. On top sits a Simagic Alpha EVO Pro 18 Nm direct drive, the GT Neo wheel, P2000 hydraulic pedals with a 200 kg load cell, a Q1S sequential shifter and TB-1 handbrake. Three 32" screens stand on Sim-Lab's freestanding Vario triple stand so the picture stays still while the rig moves, and our Scenario 7 PC with an RTX 5070 drives it all.
Why racers choose the VPS Contender Motion 3DOF
- Motion you can feel, not just see. 3DOF pitch, roll and heave communicate braking, weight transfer and surface — the cue real drivers use to find the limit.
- Actuators only, by design. This is the clean Stage 2 build: no surge or traction-loss frame, a smaller footprint, and a lower price. The Legend 6DOF add-on bolts on later if you want Stage 3.
- Hydraulic pedals for motion. The P2000's hydraulic damping and 200 kg load cell give a consistent brake reference while the platform moves under you.
- The rig we photograph is the rig you get. This is the exact chassis and motion system in the Velocity Pro Sims shop build shown in the photos.
What's in the package
Every VPS Contender Motion 3DOF is specified as one machine: cockpit, direct-drive wheelbase, wheel, pedals, seat, triple 32" 165 Hz screens, a purpose-built racing PC with iRacing pre-loaded and remote support enabled, Logitech Z906 5.1 audio and all cabling and mounting hardware.

Racing PC & audio
- VPS "Scenario 7" Racing Simulator PC — Intel Core i9-14900K on Z790, RTX 5070, 32 GB DDR5, 2 TB NVMe, liquid cooled — built for triple screens

- Sim-Lab aluminum mouse pad plate
- Cabling, powered USB hub, fasteners, harness, 3D-printed brackets & motion-safe cable management
Stage 3 is a bolt-on
This is a Stage 2, actuators-only motion build. Vero Motion's Legend add-on — one surge actuator, two traction-loss actuators and the aluminum motion base — converts this exact platform to full 6DOF later. If you want traction loss from day one, see the VPS Apex 6DOF packages in this collection.
Build & Delivery: four ways to take delivery of your VPS Contender Motion 3DOF
Every price is in the Build & Delivery selector above, so you can check out with the level of service you want. Whichever you choose, the hardware is identical and the 45 days of full support are included.
Ship in Boxes — $16,495
The complete package ships to you in component boxes — larger items such as the cockpit and motion system ship freight — with every bracket, cable and fastener needed to put it together. Freight is quoted separately for your address (see below). Our support team is a call away while you set it up.
Professional Build + Crated Freight + Remote Setup — +$6,495
Our Daytona Beach shop assembles, wires, cable-manages and calibrates your simulator, loads and updates the software and track-tests the rig. We then crate it, ship it to your door with freight included, and schedule a remote session to finish the software setup, calibrate to you and walk you through the system. You place the rig and connect the labeled cables; we do the rest over the screen.
White Glove — Florida & Southeast — +$9,295
For customers within roughly a day's drive of Daytona Beach (Florida, Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas), two VPS technicians bring your professionally built simulator in our own trailer, carry it in, install and calibrate it in your space and hand it over race-ready — 3 days on site including a driver walkthrough. Travel, lodging and meals are included in the price.
White Glove — Nationwide — +$13,295
Anywhere in the continental United States: your built and tested simulator ships crated ahead of us, then two VPS technicians fly out for 3 days to unpack, install, calibrate and commission it in your space and hand it over with a full walkthrough. The price covers the build, crating and freight, airfare, lodging, meals and ground transport for both technicians.
How these prices are set: the build charge reflects the hours our shop puts into this specific package; the white-glove charges are built from two technicians for 3 days, airfare or fuel, hotels, meals, a rental car where we fly, and the crate and freight for a built rig — the same way we cost every install we do. Commercial sites, multi-rig installs and unusual access (stairs, elevators, remote locations) are quoted individually: call or text (954) 296-6197, email sales@velocityprosims.com or request a quote.
Support
Every turnkey package includes 45 days of full support from Velocity Pro Sims from the day of purchase — hardware, software and tuning, with remote access to the racing PC when you want us to look at something. After that, service is available at $120 per hour.
Shipping on the Ship-in-Boxes Choice Is Quoted Separately
If you choose Ship in Boxes, freight is not included in the price and is not calculated at checkout. It depends on your address, access and whether you want curbside or in-home placement, so we quote it separately and invoice it once your order is placed — call or text (954) 296-6197 for an estimate before you order. The Professional Build choice includes crated freight to your door, and both White Glove choices include delivery and installation.
Perfect for
- Drivers who want real motion at the lowest entry point
- Coaching and driver-development use where braking and weight-transfer cues matter
- Owners who want to grow into 6DOF later without replacing anything
Frequently Asked Questions
How much room does it need?
Plan on roughly 7 ft x 5 ft for the rig and stand plus walk-around space; the actuators add about 6" of height. Ceiling height of 8 ft is fine.
Can I add traction loss later?
Yes — Vero Motion's Legend add-on (surge actuator, two traction-loss actuators and the motion base) upgrades this exact platform to 6DOF. Ask us for the upgrade quote at any time.
Is 3DOF motion safe for kids and guests?
Yes. The Champion GT ships with an E-stop, and motion intensity is adjustable in SimHub from gentle to full.
Can Velocity Pro Sims build or install it for me?
Yes — choose it in the Build & Delivery selector. Professional Build has us assemble, calibrate and test the complete system in Daytona Beach, crate it and ship it to you with a remote setup session; the two White Glove choices send two VPS technicians to install and commission it in your space, by road across Florida and the Southeast or by air anywhere in the lower 48.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Our showroom at 933 Beville Rd, Suite 102E in Daytona Beach — ten minutes from Daytona International Speedway — has walk-in seat time with no appointment and no charge, Wednesday through Sunday.
What does shipping cost?
If you choose Ship in Boxes, freight is quoted separately based on your address and access and is not charged at checkout — call or text (954) 296-6197 for a freight estimate before you order if you want the all-in number up front. The Professional Build choice includes crated freight to your door, and both White Glove choices include delivery.
How long until it ships?
Ship in Boxes: components ship in multiple boxes from our warehouse and suppliers — larger items such as the cockpit ship freight — and the racing PC ships in 7–14 business days. Professional Build and White Glove orders are scheduled with you when we confirm the order; allow extra time for the build and, for White Glove, for our technicians' travel dates.
Note: Ship in Boxes orders ship in multiple boxes with the racing PC following within 7–14 business days; Professional Build and White Glove orders are scheduled with you at confirmation. White Glove prices assume normal residential access in the continental United States; commercial sites and multi-rig installs are quoted individually. Racing software subscriptions (iRacing, etc.) are not included.
