This kit incorporates key technical improvements in durability, electronics, SmartControl software, and the brake spring system, providing a significant enhancement to your existing pedal set.
Components
The Ultimate Upgrade Kit includes essential parts for upgrading classic Sim Pedals Ultimate to the level of Sim Pedals Ultimate+. While there may be aesthetic and minor technical differences compared to the Ultimate+, the main technical upgrades are included. Refer to the table below for an overview of the included parts and upgrades.
Compatibility
- Classic Sim Pedals Ultimate: If you own the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate with RJ-plugs (sold between mid-2014 to 2021), this upgrade kit is compatible.
- Wired Terminals: For classic Sim Pedals Ultimate with wire terminals on the controller (sold between late 2013 – early 2014), crimp RJ9 plugs (crimp tool and plugs not included) to the pedal wires before using the SmartControl controller.
- Ultimate+ Owners: If you own the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ (sold from July 2021 onwards), this upgrade kit is not necessary as your pedals already incorporate the upgrades included in this kit.
- Incompatibility: This upgrade kit is not compatible with other pedal series such as Sim Pedals Pro, Sim Pedals Sprint, or Sim Pedals Racecenter.
Installation and Assembly
- Pre-Assembled Components: The new controller box and part of the rubber stack assembly are pre-assembled within the upgrade kit.
- Installation Process: You'll need to install/integrate these assemblies into your current Sim Pedals Ultimate pedal set. Installation typically takes around 30 minutes.
- Tools and Guidance: Tools required for installation are included in the upgrade kit. Printed schematics and exploded views are provided for guidance. An installation video is also available in the Support section.
